Doctor, my child has cough since 2 days. Today, it is too breathless & sounds are coming from its chest Has the child developed brocholitis? Or is it a simple cough? Observe the face – Does the child look dehydrated and toxic?Observe the degree of breathlessness and cough. Look at the tongue & nails for cyanosis. Took the forehead and neck with back of your fingers to assess the degree of fever. Auscultate the chest carefully for Rales and Rhonchii If the child is breathless and toxic, or cyanosed, And if the chest is full of crepitations,It is acute bronchilitis. Refer the patient immediately to a pediatrician.
